Play’n GO Continues a Decade-Long Partnership With the Växjö Lakers and Conquers the West Virginian Market in the US

Play’n GO, the acclaimed online casino game developer, has announced it will continue to support and sponsor the Växjö Lakers, a Swedish hockey team, for the tenth year in a row. Considering that Play’n GO was founded in the city of Växjö, it makes it an ideal partner for the club, which managed to win their fourth Swedish Championship last year.
As part of this year’s sponsorship contract, the Play’n GO logo will be prominently displayed on the helmets of the Växjö Lakers. The developer will also sponsor the team’s kits during their European Champions League matches, further increasing the brand’s visibility and commitment to the club.

Additionally, Play’n GO is going to transform the Vida Arena, where the team plays its home matches, and create an immersive environment for guests, allowing them to enjoy a dedicated Play’n GO lounge featuring customised interiors.

Johan Tornqvist, Play’n GO’s CEO, has explained that it is the company’s pleasure to continue sponsoring their local team and provide fun and entertainment to the fans. Since the season is just around the corner, Tornqvist wishes everyone good luck and promises they will watch and cheer on the Lakers for the entire season.

The Växjö Lakers’s CEO, Johan Markusson, has also expressed appreciation for Play’n GO’s continued support. He believes they will continue this mutually beneficial partnership with the online casino developer in the years to come, as it allows them to compete with the best local and international teams.

In other news, Play’n GO has finally gone live in West Virginia. The developer obtained the WV permit at the end of 2022 but didn’t partner with anyone for several months. Eventually, the studio joined forces with BetMGM, making its acclaimed titles available to the local audience.

Players from WV can now immerse themselves in Play’n GO’s classic releases like Reactoonz, Book of Dead, Boat Bonanza, and the recently nominated Game of the Year 2023 — Gerard’s Gambit.

Obtaining a WV licence is a significant milestone for the company, as it is now the fourth US state whose players get to enjoy Play’n GO’s games. Previously, after entering the US market in July 2022, the developer had managed to secure permits for Michigan, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

Play’n GO’s commercial director for North America, Magnus Natt och Dag, has expressed his delight to offer the brand’s game catalogue to West Virginians. Since the studio is known for crafting games that keep players engaged, he is confident they will achieve great success in the Mountain State.
